Study on morphological characterization of Citrus macroptera Mont collected from garo hills district Meghalaya, India

The work was undertaken to study the variability in Citrus macroptera from five Garo hills district. Many important horticultural plant species, viz. are known have originated this region. Mont. is one of endangered, semi-wild species which found exist various parts NE region, including Meghalaya. Thirty accession different districts Hills, Meghalaya were collected its quantity and quality parameters. In significant highly differences observed among genotypes. analysis variance for parameters such as tree height, girth, leaf length, width, fruit weight, number segment, rind thickness, seeds per seed width varied significantly accession. Variability location shows great scope genetically potential genotypes cultivation also their exploitation breeding programme.
